Google has launched a new training course to help more US job seekers learn Python, today’s most in-demand programming language.
According to Google
When Grow with Google launched the IT Support Professional Certificate, they aimed to equip learners around the world with the fundamentals to kickstart careers in information technology. Now, on the program’s two-year anniversary, they’re expanding their IT training offering with the new Google IT Automation with Python Professional Certificate. Python is now the most in-demand programming language, and more than 530,000 U.S. jobs, including 75,000 entry-level jobs require Python proficiency. With this new certificate, you can learn Python, Git and IT automation within six months.
The program includes a final project where learners will use their new skills to solve a problem they might encounter on the job, like building a web service using automation.
The new training course, called the Google IT Automation with Python Professional Certificate, is being managed by online education firm Coursera.
Unfortunately, the course, which takes about six months to complete, isn’t free. However, Google.org is offering 2,500 scholarships through several non-profits, including Goodwill, Merit America, and Upwardly Global.
Also, the primary focus of the Google is on the U.S. jobseekers but the certification is available to anyone around the globe.

And the icing on the top is Coursera’s 7 days free trial which allows you can get a taste of the course without actually paying for it.
